Bespoke Dodo Sculptures Half & Full-Size - Made to Commission.

Individual commissions can be produced to a client's personal specification - both for the size of the dodo skeleton itself, and the detail design of the exhibition case too. The 3D printed skeleton can be made from a range of materials (plastics or metals) with an equally wide range of natural, polished, coloured or painted finishes.

The display/exhibition case can also be made from traditional hard woods and Perspex (as above) to capture the 'Natural History Museum' aesthetic - or perhaps aluminium, to produce a more sculptural and contemporary 'Interior Design' aesthetic. The case itself could feature lifting handles, lighting or doors - all of which could be discussed to generate a bespoke commission. In all cases I would produce individual quotes that reflected the brief and provide realistic illustrations of the design (similar to those above) for a small refundable fee if the commission is agreed upon.

A full-size dodo is nearly a metre tall and only a handful of (mostly incomplete) skeletons exist - mainly in the hands of museums and a few private collectors. One did come for auction a few years ago and sold for several hundred thousand dollars, a price that reflected both its rarity and the ongoing fascination in the dodo legend. My sculptures will certainly not be anywhere near as expensive, but may go some way towards democratising ownership.

Please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your individual requirements.
